By booking a Tarot or Reiki session with Laura Cohen, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms between you, the client, Laura Cohen, and Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki.

Parties to This Agreement

These terms apply to the services provided by Laura Cohen through Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki to the individual booking or participating in a session, referred to as “you” or “the client.”

In this document:

• “Laura Cohen” means the individual providing the Tarot and Reiki services.

• “Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki” means the business or service through which Laura Cohen offers those services.

• “You” or “the client” means the person booking, purchasing, or participating in a tarot or Reiki session.

By booking a session, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms.

Nature of the Service

Tarot and Reiki sessions are offered through Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki for personal reflection, intuitive exploration, relaxation, and general wellbeing.

Tarot readings are intuitive and interpretive in nature. Laura Cohen may draw on traditional card meanings, symbolism, imagery, intuition, and the patterns that emerge within a reading. Tarot does not provide guaranteed predictions or outcomes, and you remain responsible for your own choices and decisions.

Reiki is a complementary, energy-based wellness practice intended to support relaxation, grounding, and a sense of wellbeing. Individual experiences vary, and neither Laura Cohen nor Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki can guarantee any particular result.

Currency: all services are charged in Canadian Dollars.

This Is Not Therapy

Although Laura Cohen is professionally trained and registered as a therapist, the Tarot and Reiki services offered through Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki are separate from her counselling therapy practice and do not constitute psychotherapy, counselling, assessment, diagnosis, or mental health treatment.

These services are not a replacement for appropriate mental health care.

They are also not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice. Please consult an appropriately qualified professional when those services are needed.

I don't provide paid tarot readings or reiki services to your current counselling clients.

Confidentiality and Safety

Laura Cohen respects your privacy and will treat what you share during a session with care. However, because Laura Cohen is also a mandated reporter, there may be circumstances in which she has a legal or professional obligation to disclose information or report concerns, particularly where there are serious concerns involving safety, abuse, neglect, or harm.

Neither Laura Cohen can guarantee absolute confidentiality where disclosure is required by law or by an applicable professional obligation.

Personal Responsibility

Tarot and Reiki are intended to complement your own judgment, reflection, and decision-making rather than replace them.

You are responsible for how you interpret and act upon information discussed during a session. Neither Laura Cohen nor Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki guarantees specific outcomes related to relationships, health, employment, finances, legal matters, or future events.

Consent

By booking a session with Laura Cohen through Deep Waters Tarot + Reiki, you confirm that you understand the nature and limitations of Tarot and Reiki services and voluntarily choose to participate.

You also confirm that you have had the opportunity to ask questions before booking and understand that these services are separate from Laura Cohen’s counselling practice.

Respectful Conduct

Sessions are intended to be respectful and collaborative. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, harassing, or otherwise unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

Laura Cohen reserves the right to end or decline a session if a client’s behaviour is inappropriate or creates an unsafe or disrespectful environment. Depending on the circumstances, a refund may not be provided for a session ended because of client conduct.

Cancellations and Refunds

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments and no-shows, are non-refundable.

If I need to cancel your session, you can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund.
